Finally you're here,
welcome!
I've been waiting for you. I know you didn't know about us but you finally crossed it.
We are trying to make acquiring skills and starting small businesses a lot more easier and inspiring for people especially young Nigerians and anyone interested in doing something with their lives while in school or after they graduate from school by sharing ideas and tips on this blog.
You really want to do this but don't know where to start from, let's do it together.
A lot of young people out there especially students at some point or the other do think of something they can do something like a skill, a little business most of them want to do it as a part time thing while focusing on their studies but don't really know where to start from and how to go about it.
We want to help you out on this.
Personally I've been there, I've had same thoughts and wanted to make sure I don't graduate from school and stay stranded. The good news is, there's a way out and that's what we want to look at.
Hi! My name is Imaobong Asuquo, I am the founder of IMAIMA'SBLOG
I don't know how you got to know about IMAIMA'SBLOG maybe you were just travelling down web lane and you bumped into it or someone told you about it.
That person really loves you.
Anyway,
It's good you're finally here.
I'm just imagining the thousands of questions on your mind right now. "Hm"
Now let's get serious
You visited this blog because you want ideas about skills acquisition and how you can start a small business or promote your business.
hmmm!
That is very thoughtful of you, really nice.
I once had same thoughts and also went about the internet looking for solution and now I will tell you a bit of my story or maybe all of it. Ready?
I started IMAIMA'SBLOG on November 2021 with my smartphone which I bought on loan.
I have always thought of a way to help other young folks who are going through the same situation I found myself in.
I am very sure a good number of them are out there, I've had a conversation with some of them and trust me they really need this.
One of the things I did was try out different small scale business opportunities to see which one was really going to work out for me.
After I learnt about the unemployment situation, lack of job and underemployment I told myself I don't want to be wrapped up in that, instead I wanted to acquire a skill, establish a business, work while in school and get myself something to do before I graduate from school.
I tried my hands on few things, started with network marketing but failed. Went into trading, failed too, The hustle no stop dia o!
I tried affiliate marketing and guess what? failed too
I wasn't ready to give up that easily so I went into drop shipping.
All these required little or no start up capital.
I went for such because I didn't have a start up capital as at then but I decided to make do with what I had as they always say, start with what you have.
Mind you, I needed something I can do on part time, something that wouldn't distract me from my studies. I believe you kind of think this way too.
Now don't get it twisted, I didn't fail in those because they weren't good start ups no, I failed because I didn't really have what it takes to follow them up, the knowledge, the skills, the capital, etc. I was just struggling on my own with the little I had then.
I was once so confused about which skill to learn because I wanted to be everywhere, trying out everything. And I discovered I was good at anything I set my mind to do. (A multipotentialite)
Jack of all trade! you guessed that right.
Ha!
It was that serious.
You know what? I get disturbed everyday when I see students in the same situation I was in back then. They really want to start up something, little business, learn skills to help themselves.
A lot of them I've had conversation with are ready to step out there and try their hands on something but have some fears and limitations, these fears and limitations are what we want to look at here in IMAIMA'SBLOG
We want to kind of take you by the hand and work down the road with you. Just ignore the scare crows and giant trees, (whispering: we've got you covered)
After reading my plenty stories, your butts must have hurt by now.
So sorry about that, the truth is that I didn't write IMAIMA'SBLOG to bore you with my life story but to help you get to where you want from where you are right now.

Things get as e be this days, I'm sure you know that already.
I have often heard students talk about things like
I need a little job I can do to support myself in school.
I want to learn a skill while still going to school.
I don't want to graduate from school and start looking for a job of course, why should you?
I want to establish my own business before I graduate from school, brilliant.
I don't want to depend on my parents for money every time, I want to start a business, brilliant too.
I was once in this category too.
Yes!
So, its high time we switch to the skill economy and make the difference.
See you there!
